The Beginning

One Spoon of Java, Passed Down.

Slice Coffee began the way most good things in Indonesia do — around a kitchen table, with a spoon and a pot of coffee no one wanted to waste.

In the highlands of West Java, farmers have long stirred leftover coffee grounds into palm sugar and butter, spreading the result over warm bread before the day's work. It was never sold. It was simply shared.

SLICO takes that quiet ritual and gives it a name, a jar, and a place at your table — wherever your table happens to be in the world.

“Not a drink to rush through. A moment to spread, slowly, on something warm.”

From Bean to Jar

The Ingredients & Process

01

Handpicked Cherries

Only ripe, red arabica cherries are picked by hand across small West Java farms.

02

Sun-Dried, Slowly

Beans rest under the sun for up to three weeks, developing depth before roasting.

03

Small-Batch Roasting

Roasted below 10kg per batch over open flame, watched closely by hand.

04

Stone-Ground & Stirred

Ground coarse, then folded by hand into palm sugar and cultured butter in copper pans.

05

Rested & Jarred

Left to rest for 48 hours before being sealed in amber glass, one jar at a time.

A Simple Ritual

How To Enjoy

01

Warm Your Bread

Toast bread, a croissant, or steamed rice cake until just warm — the spread wakes up with heat.

02

Spread Generously

Take a spoonful of SLICO and spread it edge to edge. Don't be shy with it.

03

Pair It Slowly

Sit with black coffee or warm milk — SLICO is the flavour, not the caffeine.

04

Share The Jar

Pass it across the table. A jar of SLICO is always better between two spoons.
